Lochter Fishery consists of 3 Fly Fishing Lochs over some 14 acres of water and two Bait Fishing Ponds. One of our lochs is the unique Muckle Troot Loch which is in the shape of a big leaping trout!

We are open from 8 am to dusk all year round, 7 days a week and there is no necessity to book as there is always ample space.

We are a rainbow trout fishery which also has a natural head of brown trout. Our rainbow trout are the finest quality and range from 2lb to well over double figures. We rear most of our fish ourselves in our specially designed stream holding ponds and produce strong, well-toned fish to test any weaknesses in your knots. We keep a very close eye on catch rates and conditions at the Fishery.
We stock generously whilst balancing the needs of novices with those of the expert making it neither too easy nor too difficult to catch fish.

Situated 12 miles to the south of Aberdeen on the A92, Logie Trout Fishery was established in 1988.

Set in lovely surroundings on the edge of Limpet Wood, the natural vegetation and plant life on both pools provides the fish with quality feeding, and with an abundance of insect life, the evening rise at the fishery can be quite spectacular.

The excellent pure water is fed to the fishery from natural springs and a stream flowing from the moor some 2 miles away. Up to a million gallons of fresh naturally filtered water flows into the pools in any one day which helps give Logie its reputation for providing fit and healthy, hard-fighting trout for the angler.
