The family-run business is set in their smallholding of 25 acres near the banks of the river Ayr. It is situated on the outskirts of the village of Annbank, approximately 4 miles east of the town of Ayr, and around 45 minutes drive from Glasgow. Loch Jess is a 2-acre spring and rain-fed lochan, stocked with Grade "A" trout, for Fly Fishing Only. Opening hours are 9 am till dusk. The fishery offers a wide choice of ticket types, from a couple of hours of "catch and release", to a full day (8 hours) of fly fishing taking up to 4 fish

 

The fishery opened in April 2006, and with the exception of Christmas Day and New Year's Day, is open daily from 9 am till dusk. In a peaceful, relaxing setting, Loch Jess is a 2-acre spring and rain-fed lochan, which is strictly Fly Fishing Only. With a maximum number of rods set at 25, there is more than ample space for a quiet day's fishing. It is stocked regularly with Grade "A" Rainbow, Blue, and Brown trout, ranging from 1.5 lbs to double figures. Beware of the Loch Jess Monster!

Arran View Fishery is a fly fishery on the A719 between Moscow and Waterside in Ayrshire, we have 2 fly fishing and one children's bait pond. Arran View is situated on the A719 between Moscow and Waterside and boasts two well-stocked fly ponds and a small children's bait pond (

We are easy to find and have a large car park with ample parking for all our customers, we have full disabled toilet facilities and also have several mobility scooters available to hire (best to book in advance to save disappointment) for our customers who are less able to move around the ponds.  

Arran View is open from 8.00 am to dusk 7 days a week (we will be closed on Christmas day only).

The fish stock comprises rainbows, blues & browns.

Ponds are now re-stocked four times per week, usually on Friday, Saturday evening, Monday, and Wednesday, the average size of fish is approx. 3lbs.

Depending on the type of fishing preferred we have a choice of 4 Lochs.
Our main Large Loch (Flyfishing only), The Triangle Loch is for both bait or Flyfishing each activity is restricted to particular banks, A Smaller Loch is bait only. Finally, in front of the lodge, we have the Large bait pond.

Our lochs are stocked on a weekly basis with Rainbows & Brown trout
With an average size of 1.5lbs to 2 lbs with a reasonable
head of larger fish into double figures.

Craufurdland fishery is set on Craufurdland Lochan in the beautiful surrounding of Craufurdland Estate, 20 minutes from Glasgow. It is surrounded by mature woodlands and The Laird’s Table restaurant on site.

 

The fly fishery is stocked with Rainbow, Brown Blue, and Tiger Trout. Fishing is available from the bank or on one of the boats on the lochan.

 

Tickets are available for catch and release, or for those who wish to take home fish, there are also kill tickets. There are rods and a boat available for hire (kill tickets only), tackle for sale and tuition can be arranged. Hot and cold food and a takeaway can be purchased from the activity/fishery center throughout the day

Fishing on a 3.6 Acre hillside loch with aspects over the Cumbrae Isles, Isles of Bute, and Arran, New Haylie Fishing Loch is one of the most picturesque trout fisheries in Scotland.

Stocked with an abundance of hard fighting Browns, Rainbows, Blues, and Tiger Trout along with a natural head of wild Brown Trout.

For the dry fly aficionado this is a perfect location as the trout rise to the dry all year round.

New Haylie Fishing Loch varies in depth from 2ft to 18ft with the average depth being around 5 to 8 feet. Floating lines are best in the shallows with intermediate lines working best off the dam wall.

A large portion of the loch is accessible to fish by disabled anglers and friendly staff are always at hand to assist or even pass on good tips to catching fish.

The 5-acre loch is situated in the Brisbane Glen giving scenic views of the surrounding Ayrshire hills.  Large numbers of natural insects and flies make the loch superb for dry fly and nymph fishing.  Hawks and Buzzards as well as deer may be seen at any time all in their natural habitat.  The spring-fed loch makes the water crystal clear so fish can be seen feeding readily, making top-of-the-water fishing excellent. 

 

Stocked with excellent fully finned hard fighting fish from 2lb upwards into double figures.  Rainbows, Blues, Tigers, and Browns are stocked on a weekly basis.

A superb bank fishery with easy access all around this secluded venue.

Skelmorlie Trout Fishery near Greenock is 4.5 acres fishery stocked with rainbows and brown trout which is located in the middle of Skelmorlie Golf Course. Excellent fly life makes this a good floating line venue. Rainbows average 2 lbs with a fish of 16.7 lbs being the fishery record, and browns go to about 6 lbs.

6 acres in size including three islands, all of which are accessible by bridges. The trout fishery is stocked with fish ranging in weight from 2lbs upto 15lb consisting of rainbow, steelhead, blues, and brown trout.
