Portree Angling Association

Portree
Isle of Skye
Highland
Scotland

The Isle of Skye - is rugged, beautiful, and an angler's paradise. Here, in the freshest air, you can fish in complete solitude amongst some of the most spectacular scenery in Scotland. Portree Angling Association controls most of the angling in the North East of the Island of Skye, including the rights for the Storr Lochs, along with many rivers and other waters. There are Association boats on the Storr Lochs and these include a wheelie boat for disabled access.

The Isle of Skye is a great location for salmon and trout fishing and its mainly spate rivers attract anglers from all over the country.  Portree Angling Association has access to eight rivers and streams on Skye, the Amer, Brogaig, Kilmaluag, Kilmartin, Lealt, Ose, Sligachan, and the upper (Glenmore beat) of the premiere River Snizort. All carry trout, sea trout, and salmon.

Day permits are a modest £20 and cover all eight rivers.

Likewise, we control 21 hill lochs, all of which are listed separately here, and again a day ticket will cost the visiting angler only £20. These, together with the famous Storr Lochs, offer an outstanding fishing adventure when visiting the Island.
